Vintage fountain pen set from the 1930s that uses the rare blue marble
celluloid that was used by Sheaffer. This set is twelve sided
like a Doric. The set is marked Traveler. Many of these small pen
companies bought up the leftover rods and tubes from the suppliers. They
may have only made a few pens in this color. This set is a near mint.
Box is unmarked but is most likely original.

This is a great example of an off-brand pen using a great color which
was almost only used by one company , in this case Sheaffer. The
trim is excellent, which would only happen on a near mint pen because
the trim on this set is probably only gold washed. Great color. Good
smooth writer. Beautiful pen. |

Early Sterling Pen Co fountain pen that was made by the Davidson
Rubber Co in the early 1900s. It is a black hard rubber eyedropper fill
pen. This is a fully detailed and fully serviced fountain pen. Ready

silver pen, it is black hard rubber. [Yes, unfortunately, I do actually
need to put disclaimers like that in here.]

This is a great example of a vintage Sterling fountain pen. I
wrote a half page with it and there was good ink flow and just a slight
scratchiness, but it doesn't dig into the paper. It has a 2 piece feed.
The mark on the cap looks like a burn mark to me. It is a small
depression and it is brown in that spot. You could probably touch it up
to make it less obvious, but I have left it alone. The pen has a nice
deep imprint. The color is near mint on the barrel and the cap has a
touch of oxidation. I think these regular eyedroppers are less common
that the middle joint pens from Sterling. No cracks and no coloring. |

This is a great example of a vintage 1920s oversize flattop fountain
pen. It is a really smooth writer, so don't be scared of the fine nib. I
guess Monty Ward wanted National Pen to lower the price on this pen, so
they switched from gold filled trim to plated trim and left the barrel
imprint off. Otherwise the quality is the same. In fact, the black end
caps with the white spacers would be a sign of a better grade pen. |

Morrison's WWII Patriot fountain pen that was made in the USA in
1940s. It is their Patriot model in Army olive green and it has the Army
insignia on top of the cap. Morrison put the insignia on the top from all
of the branches of the service on this pen, this one has the Army
one. These pens has a lousy filling system from the factory and I have
updated it with the filling system from a Parker 51. This pen has been
altered from it's original state [just the filler] so if you only want an
original example, you don't want this one. If you want a WWII Patriot that
actually works, then you want this pen. It looks all original until you
unscrew the barrel.
