Vintage Zippo lighter that was made about 1954. It is from the
USS Willard Keith and it has Dennis the Menace on the back.
He is destroying a submarine with a mallet. The Willard Keith was a
destroyer that saw service in World War II. It has the original hinge
and insert. The hinge is in good condition with very little wobble. The
lid snaps shut very firmly. It has some very minor nicks on the top of
the lid. I installed a new flint and it makes a good spark. Good wick.
Overall good condition. Dennis the Menace Zippo lighters are a lot less
common than Mickey Mouse Zippos. This lighter has some small nicks and
dents but I would still describe it as being in excellent used condition
considering it is over 50 years old. |

Vintage Swank lighter with a watch built in that was made in
Switzerland. It has a 17 jewel movement. It is not running but if you
give the crown an extra twist, it will run until you let the pressure
off. It probably just needs to be cleaned. I installed a new flint and
it makes a good spark. Good wick. There are some very minor marks,
otherwise it is in excellent condition.

Group
of 4 vintage lighters. They are all identical and were made by Barlow
in Japan. They are all mint and unused in their original boxes. They have
advertising on them from Oliver B Cannon and the logo is a stylized
paintbrush that has been made to look like a cannon. They have white wicks
and still make sparks. I found these in the basement of a jewelry store
that I cleaned out. |

Vintage Pepsi cigarette lighter that was made in Japan in the 1950s. It is
chrome plated with the Pepsi logos enameled on the sides. It has a new
flint in it and it does make a spark. When you wind up the small knob on
the back it plays music. There is some plating wear and some minor
chipping of the enamel. Overall it is in good condition. |

Vintage cigarette lighter that is in unused in the original box. It is
from Hanson's Amusement Park at Harvey's Lake, Pa. which is near
Wilkes-Barre and Dallas. It has never been lit. The snuffer is clean with
no burn marks. I installed a new flint, so it is ready to use if you want
to do that. The lighter is chrome and was made in Japan in the
1950s. Great enameling on the sides. |

Group
of 4 Vintage
flat advertising lighters that were made in Japan in the 40s and
50s. There is a BA batteries lighter mint in the box unused. There is one
from Alliance Tire also mint in the box, but this is a gas lighter. The
used lighters are from King Louie Bowling Shirts and Mid-Continent
Securities of Indianapolis. This last lighter is missing the fuel screw,
but you should be able to replace that from a parts lighter. These all
need new flints. |

Vintage pocket lighter from Chief Oshkosh Beer. It has seen a lot of use
and the cap [snuffer] has a lot of the paint chipped off. The body of the
lighter has good red paint. The lighter was made in the USA by Brown &
Bigelow the advertising giant. It does need a new flint. You could
probably sand the cap and repaint it and end up with a really nice
lighter. I would guess this lighter is from the 20s or 30s. |

Vintage sterling silver cigarette lighter that was hand made in Mexico in
the 1950s. It has a Zippo insert from the early 1950s. The silver
craftsmen in Mexico would build these lighters to fit a Zippo insert. The
lighter is marked JSAG 900 and it is a heavy lighter with a thick silver
shell. It is hand hammered and has a hand carved appliqué on the body
which has an Aztec look, the figure seems to be blowing wind from his
mouth. Perhaps some sort of "god". The lid has an appliqué of
initials "HFL". It has a good wick and I installed a new flint. Great
looking lighter, much better than most of the lighters of this type. No
cracks. |

Vintage Zippo lighter from the 1950s. It has the line drawing of a
baseball player on it. The lid is initialed "CAC". It is a steel case.
It is in good condition but there is wear to the finish. The hinge looks
like it may have been replaced, but I'm just not sure. There are no cracks
but it has a lot of small nicks on the top of the lid. The lid has a
little wobble, but overall I would say the hinge is in good condition. The
lid snaps down shut with good pressure. I installed a new flint and it
does make a spark. I did not fill it or light it. Overall, this is a nice
vintage Zippo, but it is not a mint lighter. |
